| 41492 | SPEECH IN ENGLISH(1) | 2학점 | 본 강좌는 학생들이 관심을 갖는 국내 및 세계이슈와 관련하여 영어토의 및 토론에 대한 흥미를 유발함으로써 영어실력을 향상시킬 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위하여 먼저 학생들이 흥미를 느끼는 국내 및 세계이슈가 무엇인지를 명확히 할 것이다. 이 때 이슈는 개인 차원뿐만 아니라 사회적, 국가적 더 나아가 세계적 차원에서 학생들의 관심을 유발하거나 학생들에게 영향을 미치는 사안을 포함한다. 하지만 이슈가 이러한 범위에 한정되는 것은 아니다. 일단 이슈가 선택되면, 그에 대한 찬반입장의 “발의”(이슈에서 기인하는 따라서 그러한 이슈와 관련되는)를 하게 될 것이다. 그런 뒤에는 토의를 위한 토픽목록과 토론을 위한 발의안을 갖추게 될 것이다. 결국에는 토픽과 발의안을 각각 여섯 개씩 마련해야 한다.(강의계획서 참조) 토의와 이에 따른 후속 토론에는 한 회당 4명의 학생이 한 팀을 이루어 참여한다. 1)매주 강의 첫째 날. 4명으로 구성된 팀이 먼저 해당 토픽에 대해 발표하는데 이때 오디오, 영상, 문서자료뿐 아니라 PPT를 이용할 것을 권장한다. 발표 뒤에는 그룹토의를 진행한다.(각 팀을 구성하는 모든 학생들이 토의에 참여하게 된다.) 2)매주 강의 둘째 날. 토의에 참여하는 학생들은 토론에서 찬성 또는 반대의 의견을 주장한다.(등록한 학생 수에 따라 학생 모두가 학기 중에 한 번 또는 두 번에 걸쳐 발표(및 소그룹 토의 진행)와 토론에 참여하게 된다. 강의 전반에 걸쳐 영어를 의사소통 수단으로 사용한다. |
